Symphony Band - The Symphony Band, is the premier concert band ensemble in the School of Music. The Symphony Band meets year round and is dedicated to performing the finest wind band literature. Membership is by audition.

"Sound of the South" Marching Band - The 300 member "Sound of the South" marching band entertains nearly a half million fans each year at Division I home and away football games and at high school exhibitions around the Southeast. Membership is open to any Troy University student with an interest and background in marching band.

Jazz Ensembles - Performing the best of material from the "Big Band" era to the latest from America's best jazz groups, jazz ensembles and jazz combos provide a year-round jazz experience. The jazz ensembles are open to all Troy University students by audition.

Concert Band - Two additional Concert Bands rehearse and perform during the spring semester. These ensembles perform the best of contemporary and standard band literature. Membership is open to all interested Troy University students.

Pep Band - The Troy University "Back Court Posse" basketball Pep Band performs at all men's and women's home basketball games. Comprised of 30 musicians from all academic disciplines, the "Back Court Posse" travels with the men's and women's teams to the Atlantic Sun Tournaments, as well as the NCAA Tournament. Membership is by audition.

Trumpet Ensemble - The Troy University Trumpet Ensemble was formed in 1998 to promote trumpet repertoire and performance. Made up of eight to sixteen Troy University music majors, the group offers flexible combinations of trumpets featuring original music, transcriptions and novelties.

Brass Quintet - The Southeastern Brass company is the student brass quintet at Troy University. Formed in 2005, the group performs regularly in master classes and throughout the Southeast.
